Professor Cao Yang practices intellectual property with a focus on patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition, patent and trademark invalidation, IP M&A and IP Consulting.Professor Cao makes full use of his outstanding skills to the representation of his clients. His excellence makes Dr. Cao a much sought-after expert in the practice of IP litigation.Professor Cao has rich experiences in IP teaching and research. He is now working as deputy director of IP research center in Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, researcher at Fudan IP Research Center and director of China Technology Law Association. As an influential IP scholar, Mr Cao is often invited to publish his opinions on IP issues in some important papers and magazines.
Mr Cao joined Faith&Fine Law Firm on Dec 2014. Prior to joining law firm, he has worked as an attorney-at-law at Zhejiang Zeda Law Firm, Shanghai Chengda Law Firm and Shanghai Dacheng Law Firm. Therefore he also works as an IP teacher at Zhejiang Finance College and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law respectively. Mr Cao has published some excellent academic articles at Intellectual Property, China Trademark, and other influential magazines. He also wrote one textbook: Intellectual Property: Theory, Cases and Materials. He has published two excellent academic books: Cross-border M&A and Patent Protection and International IP issues: Conflict and Integration.Mr Cao got his PhD in IP Law from Fudan University. Now he is an associate professor at Shanghai University of Political Science and Law. He was invited to work as a fellow at Berkman Center at Harvard Law School during the academic year 2013-3014.
